AceShowbiz - Sandra Bullock will be present at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute gala in New York City and that may not be good news for all the guests there. In a newly released trailer for "Ocean's 8", Bullock's Debbie Ocean will execute a big heist, which she has planned for more than five years since she was in prison, the night the star-studded event takes place.
Debbie, a convicted felon, is the sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney) of the "Ocean's 11" movie series. After released from prison, she gathers her team of crime experts, including Lou (Cate Blanchett), Amita (Mindy Kaling), Rose (Helena Bonham Carter), Tammy (Sarah Paulson), Constance (Awkwafina) and Nine Ball (Rihanna).
Anne Hathaway plays Daphne Kluger, who gets the privilege to wear a $150 million diamond necklace at the bash and will be the target. However, judging from the title which mentions the number of the team members as 8, Daphne is likely the eighth member of the team.
Four-time Academy Award-nominated director Gary Ross ("The Hunger Games") is directing "Ocean's 8" with the script provided by Olivia Milch. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the original "Ocean's" trilogy, is involved as executive producer.
While Clooney, whose character Danny is related to Bullock's Debbie, is not expected to return for the all-female spin-off, Matt Damon and Carl Reiner will reprise their roles as Linus Caldwell and Saul Bloom, respectively, from the "Ocean's" trilogy in cameo roles.
Dakota Fanning has an undisclosed role, while Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, Maria Sharapova, Kendall Jenner, Katie Holmes, Olivia Munn, Adriana Lima, Hailey Baldwin, Serena Williams, Kylie Jenner and more will make cameo appearances in the film.
The heist movie is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on June 8.
