The leading lady of the upcoming period drama is Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave, who plays Juliana Bordereau, Morton's mistress. Meanwhile, Joely takes the role of Miss Tina, Juliana's niece.

Set in Venice in the late 19th century, "The Aspern Papers" tells the story of an ambitious editor, who is obsessed by the romantic poet Jeffrey Aspern and his short and wildly romantic life. Traveling from the U.S. to Venice, he is determined to get his hands on the letters Aspern wrote to his lover and muse, Juliana, who ferociously guards their secrets.

Based on Henry James' novel of the same name, the upcoming drama also stars Jon Kortajarena, Poppy Delevingne, Morgane Polanski, Alice Aufray, Barbara Meier, Nicolas Hau and Lois Robbins. It is the feature film debut of French director Julien Landais, who is also set to produce the film alongside Gabriela Bacher.
