'Bachelor' Recap: Arie's Uncomfortable Two-On-One Date With Krystal and Kendall. Who Survives?
TV

Arie Luyendyk Jr. also has an awkward date with seemingly unexcited Lauren B., and tries hard to connect with Jacqueline whose intelligence intimidates him.

AceShowbiz - This was probably the quietest "The Bachelor" episode ever. In the Monday, February 5 episode, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and the remaining ladies traveled to Paris for what would've been romantic dates, but apparently not all of them were in the mood for it.

The first one-on-one date went to Lauren B. While other girls would take this opportunity to win Arie's heart, Lauren B. didn't seem to have any intention to do it and wasn't excited about their date at all. She barely cracked a smile and let Arie do the talking.

Strangely, Arie was obsessed with Lauren B. for a reason that he didn't even understand. "I obviously would love more than anything for you to like me, you know? I'd love that, because I'm super interested in you. I have a crush on you, and I want you to like me," he told her.

Later in the night, Arie shared during dinner that he once got his ex-girlfriend pregnant and she lost the baby. Lauren B. eventually opened up about her parents' marriage and the reason why she's so "guarded." She said her parents had been together for almost 30 years, but they hadn't had an "easy marriage." This was enough to make Arie give a rose to Lauren B.

The group date, thankfully, livened up the mood. Arie took Becca K., Seinne, Bekah M., Tia, Chelsea and Jenna to the Moulin Rouge where they watched dancers clad in barely-there thongs. Bekah M., who received the rose, got to perform on stage with Arie.

Up next was a two-on-one date with Krystal and Kendall. The two women barely talked to each other as they traveled to chateau outside of Paris. Krystal tried to compensate for last week's bowling alley fiasco, but she failed to do so as she began to trash talk Kendall in front of Arie. She told him that Kendall was never in love and didn't seem ready for a serious relationship.

Arie asked Kendall about this and she defended herself. Kendall then confronted Krystal for trash talking her to Arie. While it usually would end up in an explosive argumentation, Kendall was too nice and said she "can definitely empathize" with Krystal instead.

Arie didn't immediately make up his mind and had dinner with the two ladies. He eventually gave the rose to Kendall and sent Krystal home. And in a cold move, he didn't even walk her out.

Last but not least was a one-on-one date with Jacqueline. Realizing that she's pretty much hanging by a thread this far along in the competition, she had to go big or go home. Unfortunately for her, their date didn't start off well. Arie picked her up in a vintage convertible which broke down even before they left the parking lot and he couldn't fix it.

Arie took Jacqueline shopping and then for a fancy dinner at Maxim's. He admitted that he was "intimidated" by her because he thinks she's too smart for him. Jacqueline's planning to get her Ph.D which isn't ideal for Arie because he's looking for someone who is willing to move to Scottsdale and start a family with him. Despite that issue, Jacqueline got the rose.

At the rose ceremony, Lauren B., Bekah M., Kendall and Jacqueline already got their roses and Arie only had three left to hand out. The roses went to Tia, Seinne and Becca K., which meant Chelsea and Jenna were sent home.

They are heading to Tuscany next and everyone rejoiced, but Lauren B. started up drama as she's seen complaining about how this competition works. "I'm getting pissed off by the smallest things," she told a producer off-camera. "I should be excited that we're going to Tuscany, and we're traveling the world and it's so cool. But I also am like, terrified that he's going to pick someone else."
