'Shazam!' Character Breakdowns Confirm More Villains, Hint at Potential Black Adam Cameo
Movie

Some new character descriptions for the upcoming movie reveal that Billy Batson a.k.a. the titular superhero will have more than the 'evil sorcerer' Dr. Sivana to face off.

AceShowbiz - Shazam! will have to fight against more supervillains other than Dr. Sivana. Some new character descriptions have been released online via That Hashtag Show, suggesting that Zachary Levi's titular superhero, whose alter ego is Billy Batson, will also be up against Black Adam, who will be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Based on the descriptions, Dr. Sivana, played by Mark Strong, will be joined by his daughter Beautia and his oldest son, Magnificus, though it's unclear if the former will switch sides and join Billy Batson as depicted in the comics. The breakdown for Sivana himself reveals the villain will be a full-on sorcerer, not a mortal scientist dabbling in magic.

"Thaddeus Bodog Sivana -- 'Evil sorcerer who regenerates from death with world domination on his mind.' Supporting Lead Male#," read the breakdown. His daughter Bautia Sivana is described as "Sivana's devoted daughter. When he does not return her love, she changes loyalties and helps Billy out.' Supporting Lead Female."

Meanwhile, Magnificus Sivana is depicted as "Sivana's incredibly giant and strong son that has a huge battle with Shazam.' Supporting Lead Male." As for Shazam, he is described as an "elderly wizard who is forced to give his powers to a young boy [played by Asher Angel] before the boy is ready.' Supporting Lead Male."

There's also a "mysterious man" whom many have been speculating to be The Rock's Black Adam. Depicting the character as Shazam's "underling" in cameo capacity, many think this description is just a cover-up that the wrestler-turned-actor will finally be making his debut as the corrupted, ancient Egyptian predecessor of the titular superhero.

Warner Bros. has yet to comment on the report. "Shazam!" is set to start filming next month in Toronto for an April 5, 2019 U.S. release. David F. Sanberg will be serving behind the lens with a script provided by Darren Lemke and Henry Gayden. It also stars Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Cooper Andrews.
