AceShowbiz - Another father and daughter pair has been confirmed to leave KBS2's "The Return of Superman". Actor Ki Tae Young and his 2-year-old daughter Rohee, whom he shares with singer/actress wife Eugene, will be exiting the reality TV show after almost 2 years.
A source from the series revealed on December 28, "Ki Tae Young and his daughter Rohee will be leaving the program." It is said that the pair had "finished filming their last episode."
The broadcast date of the said episode has yet to be decided due to the ongoing KBS strike.
Ki Tae Young and then 1-year-old Rohee joined the show, which sees fathers self-taking care of their children without the moms for two days, back in January 2016. Now that Ki Tae Young is poised to leave the show, it leaves comedian/host Lee Hwi Jae with his twins Lee Seo Eon and Lee Seo Jun, professional football player Lee Dong Gook with his five children Lee Jae Si, Lee Jae Ah, Lee Seol Ah, Lee Soo Ah and Lee Sin An, TV star Sam Hammington with his son William Hammington, as well as former idol Ko Ji Young with his son Ko Seung Jae as the remaining cast members.
"The Return of Superman" debuted in 2013 with original cast members Lee Hwi Jae, professional wrestler Choo Sung Hoon and actor Jang Hyun Sung. Epik High's rapper/songwriter Tablo used to star on the series with his daughter Lee Haru from 2013 to 2015. Meanwhile, actor Song Il Gook's fraternal triplets, Song Dae Han, Song Min Guk and Song Man Se, joined the show in 2014 before exiting in 2016.
The show won Viewer's Choice Program of the Year at the 13th KBS Entertainment Awards in 2014. It also won Best Entertainer - Entertainment Category for Lee Dong Gook, Hot Issue - Variety Show Star Award for Choo Sung Hoon, Excellence Award - Male Variety Category for Song Il Gook and Grand Prize (Daesang) for Lee Hwi Jae at the award-giving event in the following year.
