The First Daughter claims in her mom's new memoir that she once went through a 'punk phase,' but nobody seems to believe her, saying it's a lie.

AceShowbiz - Ivanka Trump revealed in her mom Ivana Trump's new memoir that she had a "punk phase." The memoir, entitled "Raising Trump", was released on October 10. Ivanka took part in writing one of the chapters, where she described her "punk phase" in detail.

"During my punk phase in the nineties, I was really into Nirvana. My wardrobe consisted of ripped corduroy jeans and flannel shirts," she wrote. The First Daughter then went on with her story, saying that she also dyed her hair blue.

"One day after school, I dyed my hair blue. Mom wasn't a fan of this decision. She took one look at me and immediately went out to the nearest drugstore to buy a $10 box of Nice'n Easy," she added. "That night, she forced me to dye my hair back to blond. The color she picked out was actually three shades lighter than my natural color.... and I have never looked back!"

Ivanka also revealed that she cried when Nirvana's frontman Kurt Cobain died in April 1994. She wrote, "It wasn't too long after this that Kurt Cobain, the singer, songwriter and guitarist for Nirvana, committed suicide. It was a shock and I was distraught. Mom had no idea who Kurt Cobain was, and she sympathized only so much. After twenty four hours of my crying in my room, alone - major melodrama - mom had to pull me out there to go down to dinner."

Following her claims, it seems netters have many things to criticize. A netter pointed out that Nirvana, whom Ivanka thought was a punk band, was actually not a punk band. "Someone tell Ivanka Nirvana wasn't a punk band. The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Iggy and the Stooges and the Dead Kennedys were punk bands," the netter wrote.

Other netters also derided her for the claims and even made memes of it.
