Kensington Palace officials announce the Duchess of Cambridge is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum and wasn't able to attend a planned engagement on Monday.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte will soon be joined by a new sibling. Kate Middleton and Prince William are currently expecting their third child, the palace has officially announced following numerous rumors about Kate's third pregnancy.
"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child," the palace announced in a statement Monday morning, September 4. "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
As with her other two pregnancies, Kate is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum or acute morning sickness. She is being cared for at the royal couple's apartment in London's Kensington Palace and wasn't able to attend a planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children's Centre later that day.
The Duchess is believed to be between eight and twelve weeks pregnant and is expected to deliver the baby sometime between mid-March and mid-June. The baby will be born fifth in line to the throne and bump Prince Harry into sixth place.
That, however, clearly doesn't upset Harry as he has expressed his excitement at being an uncle again. "Fantastic, great, very, very happy for them," he said while on a visit to Manchester. When asked how the duchess was, he said, "I haven't seen her for a while but I think she's OK."

Kate and William welcomed their son, Prince George, on July 22, 2013 and their daughter, Princess Charlotte, on May 2, 2015. George, 4, is due to begin school at Thomas's in Battersea, south west London on Thursday.
Kate had previously expressed her interest in having another baby. During a royal tour of Poland, she jokingly said to William when she was given a cuddly toy designed for newborns, "We will just have to have more babies."
Speculation about her pregnancy arose as she reportedly barely touched her glass of wine at a reception in Warsaw.
