The 'I Got a Boy' hitmaker is set to release 'You're My Star' in Chinese and Korean as part of the project on Friday, September 8.

AceShowbiz - Yoona is up for the second season of "SM Station". SM Entertainment has revealed that the Girls' Generation star is set to release a song titled "You're My Star" in two versions, Chinese and Korean, as the track will be released in both countries.

"You're My Star" marks Yoona's second solo single following "Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway", which was featured in the first season of "SM Station" back in March 2016. Both versions of the new song will be unleashed via online music sites on September 8 at 6 P.M. KST.

"SM Station" is a digital music project by SM Entertainment as a part of the label's "New Culture Technology" to promote K-Pop across the globe. Through the project, the label releases one digital single every Friday starting from February 3, 2016. The first season ended on February 3, 2017 with 52 songs. Some of the chart-topping tracks included Tae Yeon's "Rain" and EXO's "Dancing King" featuring Yoo Jae Seok.

Yoona releasing a new solo single comes less than a month after Girls' Generation's latest album "Holiday Night" arrived. The effort, which followed up 2015's "Lion Heart", was released to celebrate the eight-piece group's 10th anniversary.

Reflecting on her years with the other members as a group, Yoona shared, "I think there's a different energy that comes out when promoting as Girls' Generation. It's the time when I've been the happiest. I was able to meet the other members, and I have a lot of great memories. I think I've been doing well."

In an interview with W Korea, the singer called the group her "source of pride and strength." She said, "Every now and then, we say that 'to us, there's only members' and we become that much of a source of strength for one another. Even if I go do something somewhere alone, I'm stepping out with all of the work I've done as SNSD."
