AceShowbiz - Tae Yeon of Girls' Generation made fans incredibly worried when she experienced a breakdown at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia on Thursday, August 17. Hours after the incident, the "I" hitmaker took to Instagram to explain what really happened at that time.
Tae Yeon said that she felt uncomfortable because fans who were waiting at the airport were out of control. "There was such a large crowd at the airport in Jakarta that my feet became tangled up, so it was a very dangerous situation," she wrote. "I actually fell to the floor. I was shaking and couldn't stop crying."
"The local security immediately approached me because I probably looked like I was in danger. They came from behind me and lifted me up, which also startled me. I was anxious due to the constant physical contact from behind me and my sides, and I couldn't find any order," Tae Yeon recalled. "I am very upset because I think there were some people who were waiting for me who also fell and got injured."
"Also, it probably wasn't intentional, but there was recurring contact with parts of my body, my behind and my chest. I was taken aback by that and couldn't get ahold of myself," she continued. "That is why I wasn't able to show a good side of me when I arrived in Jakarta for the first time in a while. I'm so sorry to the fans who waited, and please, I hope order will be kept so that we do not get hurt."
"You are our fans who are the most loving and kind-hearted, and can understand each other, so I will think of today's events as just an accident. I hope nobody is hurt," Tae Yeon concluded.
A fan previously shared on Twitter a video of Tae Yeon being surrounded by fans. A lot of them were running toward her as they tried to get closer to the "Why" songstress. Although the fans didn't mean to hurt Tae Yeon, their action clearly made her panic.

Taeyeon is personally more concerned about all the fans' safety due to the massive amounts of people at the airport," the agency said in a statement. "Furthermore, we apologize for the lack of security at the airport."
