The 'Ruler: Master of the Mask' star said that he 'ran away to the military' because he wasn't sure that he wanted to continue acting for the rest of his life.

AceShowbiz - Yoo Seung Ho has revealed a shocking truth about himself. The 23-year-old actor, who has been an actor since he was 5 years old, revealed that he enlisted to the military earlier than other actors because he didn't like acting.

Seung Ho shared that he entered the entertainment industry after his friend offered him a modeling gig for a children's fashion catalog. "I had a friend in my town who was a kid model. My friend recommended me to model for a children's fashion catalog," he said. "I did it [modeling] and then I found myself filming commercials, dramas and movies. Honestly, I didn't want to do it."

"My parents didn't enjoy it much either. But our family wasn't doing very well and I kept receiving job offers so I just continued on," he went on saying. "I never enjoyed it, even during my middle and high school days, but I couldn't give up. I felt like I can no longer return to the way things were."

The "Master of Study" actor then decided to begin his mandatory military service as he couldn't love his job. "So I ran away to the military. I thought about my job and life a lot. While I was serving in the military, I realized that this is my path," he said.

Although he didn't like acting, Seung Ho never considered to continue his study. "I wondered why I had to study when I already had a job," the "I Miss You" star explained. "I could've majored in performing arts or theater in college but it bothered me to think that I, who wouldn't be studying hard, would be taking the place of someone who could be."
