Less only means more for "Game of Thrones". While it has been confirmed that the eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" will only consist of six episodes, we may see our favorite characters longer on screen every week.

At the first "Game of Thrones" fan convention, Con of Thrones, which wrapped up on Sunday, July 2, sound designer Paula Fairfield revealed that season 8 episodes would run 80 minutes or longer. "Final season they're considering making each ep feature length!" an audience member at the panel tweeted.

Fairfield also confirmed that season 7 finale would be 82 minutes, which will be the longest episode of the show ever.

Co-showrunner Dan Weiss previously said the upcoming seventh season would feature more of some major characters, like Dany (Emilia Clarke), Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

The new season of the hit medieval drama premieres Sunday, July 16 on HBO.
