The trailer is packed with spooky noises and features typical eerie night-vision, teasing the overall atmosphere the series will have. Joined by his sons, Matthew and John Owen, Rob Lowe travels "through the country to explore infamous unsolved mysteries, a curiosity that Rob has had since his early childhood days and has now been passed down to his boys."

The trio are seen entering an old and dark building while a shadow of an apparent girl is glimpsed in one of the rooms in the building. A number of mystical creatures are glimpsed in the teaser, including ape-like and alien-looking creatures. The spookiness, however, doesn't stop the father and sons from having fun.

In each episode, Lowe and his sons seek out a mysterious story or spooky legend and immerse themselves in the exploration and debate of the experience. Their missions include exploring an "alien base" located 2,000 feet underwater off the coast of Malibu, CA and working with a renowned shaman at Preston Castle, an abandoned reformatory for boys. They will also be training with a top-secret government operative in methods of Remote Viewing, a challenge to identify images from great distances.
