Following his performances on some festivals this summer, the 'Empire State of Mind' rapper will hit the road for a tour to promote his new album.

Jay-Z is ready to take his latest studio effort "4:44" on the road this fall. The tour was initially scheduled for this summer, but it "has been moved to fall" because of his newborn twins, who were reportedly born premature and should remain in hospital due to "minor issue."

"There is a tour to follow. It was originally planned for summer but has been moved to fall because of the kids," a source told Page Six. "You usually tour within a month or so of the album." Before embarking on tour, Jay-Z will headline a series of festivals this summer, including the U.K.'s V Festival, Made in America, Austin City Limits and The Meadows.

The upcoming trek in support of "4:44" will most likely be promoted by Live Nation, which signed a touring deal with the rapper, reportedly worth $200 million, back in May. Jay-Z's previous tours were mostly joint ventures. He teamed up with Kanye West for 2011's "Watch the Throne Tour", Justin Timberlake for 2013's "Legends of Summer Tour" and his wife Beyonce Knowles for 2014's "On the Run Tour".

However, Jay-Z did his "Magna Carter World Tour" in 2013 by himself. So it is still unclear whether the 47-year-old rapper will tap other artists for the upcoming tour or not. "4:44" will arrive on June 30 exclusively via Tidal and Sprint. The new effort will be the follow-up to 2013's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail".
