The 'Chained to the Rhythm' singer says on her live stream, 'I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did.'

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is ready to bury the hatchet with Taylor Swift over their bad blood. Speaking to Thrive Global founder Arianna Huffington on a live stream to celebrate her new album "Witness", the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer said, "I am ready to let it go."

"Absolutely. One hundred percent. I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her. I think it's time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I'm saying?" the pixie-haired star added.

"I love her, and I want the best for her," she went on. "And I think she's a fantastic songwriter, and I think that, you know, if we, both her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go like, 'Yeah, well we can do this.' "

"I don't know," the West Coast singer said. "Maybe I don't agree with everything she does and she doesn't agree with everything I do, but I just really truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion."

"There's a lot of other things out there in the world that people need to be focused on, and I truly, like, God bless her on her journey. God bless her," she continued. "Honestly."

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's feud went public after Taylor hinted that her song "Bad Blood" was about Katy. Taylor accused Katy of trying to sabotage her tour by stealing her dancer. "There were three backing dancers," Katy explained to James Corden. "I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn't speak to me." In a more recent occasion, she claimed Taylor tied to "assassinate" her character.

Despite saying she wanted to let it go, Katy recently released a track called "Swish Swish" that supposedly targeted Taylor. Meanwhile, Taylor suddenly ended her feud with Spotify and released her full back catalogue on the streaming service on the same day Katy dropped her new album.
