Former Wonder Girls member Yenny appeared to have been used by her own father who is a church pastor. Pastor Park got arrested in April for embezzling a total of $17.9 million from 150 people. However, it was only revealed recently that he's Yenny's father.
Pastor Park's identity was revealed on "Heard It Through the Grapevine" on Monday, June 5. Pastor Park tricked his church attendees and followers into donating a large amount of money to an organization affiliated with the church. He told them he would use the money to build an economy research institute and promised to pay out dividends after the project was done.
Pastor Park managed to convince people by using his daughter's fame for marketing purposes. He allegedly told people that he wouldn't trick them because Yenny is a public figure. A panelist on the show claimed that he contacted the "Ain't Nobody" singer after her father was arrested. "I spoke with Yenny after the incident," the panelist shared. "She was completely shocked and said she doesn't know how to pay back the $17.9 million."
Fans expressed their frustration over the situation on an article on Nate. "His daughter already makes a lot of money, how much money does he need," a fan wrote. "If this is true, she needs to retire or pay back all the families their money," another added.
