Julia Roberts' First TV Series Picked Up by HBO


The limited series called 'Today Will Be Different' will mark the actress' return to television after 2014's critically-acclaimed TV movie 'The Normal Heart'.
Julia Roberts' first TV series has found a home at HBO. The "Money Monster" actress is set to play a lead role and produce the limited series "Today Will Be Different" which is adapted from Maria Semple's book of the same title.

The show tells "the story of Eleanor Flood, who wakes up determined to be her best self - but then life happens." It will take place over a single day and depicts "one woman's fumbling but valiant attempt to navigate the perils and grace of modern life."

It marks Roberts' return to the small screen after 2014's TV movie "The Normal Heart" which also aired on HBO. She shared screens with Mark Ruffalo, Matthew Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons, Alfred Molina, Joe Mantello and Jonathan Groff. It scored multiple accolades including an Emmy nomination for her.
