Mike Colter, who plays the titular hero, reveals that the upcoming sophomore season will revolve around Luke's decision to reveal his identity back in the first season.

AceShowbiz - Mike Colter has spilled the beans about what season 2 of "Luke Cage" will be about. The actor, who portrays the titular street hero on the Netflix series, made a stop at Houston's Comicpalooza and revealed that the sophomore season of the series would explore Luke Cage a.k.a. Power Man's public identity.

Of Luke's public identity, Mike said, "It's something that we'll explore in the 'Defenders' and hopefully in Season 2 of 'Cage' which I start very soon." He added, "It's very different. He's out. People know what he looks like. He's not in any kind of disguise."

The "Marvel's The Defenders" actor went on saying, "People know where he lives. They know where to find him so its something he has to deal with. Most superheroes don't have to deal with that and can kind of keep it separate."

Midway through the first season of "Luke Cage", Luke decided to stop hiding his identity. He revealed his power to members of the public and took his fight directly to the people who were oppressing the people of Harlem.

The filming of "Luke Cage" season 2 is scheduled to start next month, with the new season aiming for a 2018 release. In the meantime, fans can see Luke Cage along with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones) and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) on the upcoming "Marvel's The Defenders", which is set to premiere on August 18 on Netflix.
