Jessica Jung's Fans Put Up Giant Ad in Times Square on Her Birthday
Celebrity

The 28-year-old singer receives a video ad displayed in Times Square from her fans as a gift for her birthday.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Jung turned 28 on April 18 and her fans gave her an unforgettable birthday gift. Her Chinese fanclub, JungSooYeon Bar, paid for a video advertisement to be playing in Times Square, New York from April 15 to 21. The ad is displayed every 18 minutes on LED displays.

This gift surprised people as the cost of putting up an advertisement in Times Square is incredibly expensive. The video advertisement consists of footage from the singer's music videos for "Fly" and "Wonderland" as well as advertisements from Jessica's fashion store, "Blanc & Eclare". The location of the ad is strategic since it's only a few miles away from its flagship store in SoHo.

The "Love Me the Same" songstress showed her excitement about the gift on Instagram by posting a comment in one of her photos. "Times Square?! Omg," she wrote. Many of the fans showed her the ad and wished her a happy birthday. Jessica once again expressed her gratitude by posting a comment on her Instagram, saying, "Thanks for all the birthday wishes" along with an emoji.

Golden Stars, an official name of Jessica's fans, weren't the only one giving a present. Jessica also gave a surprise to her fans as a way to celebrate her birthday. She released a new single titled "Because It's Spring" along with its music video on her birthday. She had posted several teaser photos prior to the release with "welcoming spring" as the concept.
