David Harbour, who portrays police chief Jim Hopper on Netflix's series, jokes about Winona Ryder's Joyce Byers being recast.

AceShowbiz - Fans of Winona Ryder may find the news that actor David Harbour shares on Instagram upsetting. The actor, who portrays police chief Jim Hopper on Netflix's sci-fi series, trolls fans with his Instagram post and says that Winona's Joyce Byers is being recast.

The "Suicide Squad" actor took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 7 to share the news along with a photo of him and his dog. He captioned the photo, "Bittersweet season 2 spoiler. Joyce has been recast for season 2."

The 41-year-old actor added a smirk and sticking out tongue emoticons, indicating that there was no something serious fans need to worry about in his post. He was indeed joking, as Ryder will be returning to the sophomore season of "Stranger Things" alongside most of her co-stars, which are not including Shannon Purser.

As for the real season 2 spoiler, it is reported that new faces, including Sean Astin and Paul Reiser, will be featured. The plot will still center on the danger which lurks behind every corner of Hawkins. Series creators Matt Duffer and his brother Ross told Entertainment Weekly, "In season 1, Will is in danger. And season 2, it's the town." They teased that "the stakes escalate in that way."

Fans need to wait until Halloween for "Stranger Things" season 2 returning on Netflix. The first season, meanwhile, is currently streaming on Netflix.
