It's probably the closest we'll ever come to seeing Robin on "Powerless". In next week's episode of the DC comedy series, Alan Tudyk's Van suits up as Batman's sidekick Robin as seen in first-look images released via Entertainment Weekly.

In the said outing, Van, Teddy (Danny Pudi), and Ron (Ron Funches) set off on a mission to locate Batman after they find one of his Batarangs. Their quest, somehow, leads to Van indulging his superhero fantasy and dressing up as Robin.

Executive producer Justin Halpern previously said at the Television Critics Association's press tour that there's a lot of red tape involved if they want to depict characters that already exist in the film franchises or on The CW's shows. "Even if you want to see [Bruce Wayne's] hands pop into frame, you'd have to go get [Ben] Affleck; you can't just have anyone's hands," he said.

"Powerless" airs Thursdays at 8:30 P.M. on NBC. Also in next week's episode, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) sets her sights on the dating world but unknowingly falls for one of the Riddler's henchmen (guest star Robert Buckley).
