Chance the Rapper premiered a new music video for "Same Drugs" via Facebook Live on Monday, February 6. Directed by Jake Schreier, the clip sees Chance playing a white piano while a life-size female puppet is lying against him.

For the first verse, Chance's puppet companion stays quiet as it leans on his shoulder. When he comes upon Eryn Allen Kane's verse, the puppet springs into action as it begins to duet with the rapper. Towards the end of the clip, Chance slowly rises from the piano while snow starts to fall. As he walks off the set, camera follows him and it reveals that the whole filming process is managed entirely by puppets.

Prior to releasing the video, Chance tweeted a series of videos in which he called out Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat for not allowing him to premiere the clip live directly from their platforms. He said that the companies told him to take a video of his computer screen using his phone and premiere the video that way, which would have resulted in an awkward viewing experience.

"Same Drugs" is featured on Chance's "Coloring Book" mixtape, which was released last May. The mixtape is nominated for Best Rap Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. Chance is also nominated in other categories, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance.
