Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital will reportedly lose one doctor in the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" season 14. According to a scoop from TVLine, Jerrika Hinton who has been playing Dr. Stephanie Edwards since 2012 is expected to step down as a series regular in the next installment.

Her departure from the medical series comes after she landed a starring role on Alan Ball's new HBO drama series which revolves around a multi-racial family made up of a philosophy professor father, his lawyer wife, their three adopted children from Somalia, Vietnam and Colombia, and their sole biological child.

Hinton actually almost left "Grey's Anatomy" last spring when she was cast on another Shondaland show "Toast". The actress, however, returned to the show when ABC passed on the TV pilot.
