Samantha Bee will mock Donald Trump at a gala dinner called "Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner". The event is set to take place on Saturday, April 29, the same night as the annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

"We're not trying to supersede it," said Samantha. "We just want to be there in case something happens, or doesn't happen, and ensure that we get to properly roast the president," she added.

The idea came to Samantha and her "Full Frontal" producers after Trump's election. The actress said, "We were talking out loud about whether we thought the White House Correspondents' dinner would change during a Trump presidency, or if it would even exist." She added, "And then we thought, 'Why don't we just do one?' just to do it in the way that we would want it done if we were hosting it?"

However, further details of the event are still being worked out. "We have binders full of people, but we don't have any specifics to offer yet," said the 47-year-old comedian.

Samantha has been critical of the president for quite long time. She also attended the Women's March in Washington. According to Samantha, the "Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner" is another event to look forward to.
