"Marvel's The Defenders" has reunited Jessica Jones with Luke Cage. New set photos of the upcoming Netflix series have landed online, teasing the reunion between the former lovers played by Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter, who were last seen together in the first season of "Marvel's Jessica Jones".

Rocking her signature outfit which consists of a black leather jacket, a gray scarf and jeans, Jones appears to be coming to the aid of Cage, who is fighting against a thug. He's wearing a jacket with bullet holes, suggesting that he has taken some shots from the bad guy.

While Ritter and Colter were seen filming their scene in New York on Thursday, January 26, Sigourney Weaver was spotted on the set the next day. She's seen sitting inside a car and flashing a smile as she made a hand gesture to someone unseen.

Weaver plays the villain, Alexandra, who is described as an "utter badass." Showrunner Marco Ramirez further described the character, "Her character is a very powerful force in New York City. She's everything Sigourney is: sophisticated, intellectual, dangerous."

"The Defenders" will see Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Finn Jones' Danny Rand/Iron Fist joining forces to face a common enemy. Also featuring Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing, Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page, Carrie-Anne Moss' Jeri Hogarth, Elodie Yung's Elektra, Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple, Simone Missick's Misty Knight and many other familiar faces, the new series will be released sometime in 2017 on Netflix.
