'The Flash' Also Brings Back Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne, but How?
TV

Cosnett confirms he will return as Eddie, who died in the season 1 finale, to The CW's show this season.

AceShowbiz -

"The Flash" will resurrect another dead character in season 3. After it's reported that Robbie Amell would return as Ronnie Raymond, now Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne is confirmed to appear on the show's current season as well.

Breaking the news was none other than Cosnett himself, who posted his picture on Twitter along with the announcement. "Ok, hate to tease you but now I can say it: I'm coming back on #TheFlash," he wrote in the caption.

Eddie was a detective at the Central City Police Department and also Iris West's boyfriend in season 1. When it was revealed that he's the ancestor of Reverse Flash, Eddie decided to take his own life to make sure Reverse Flash wasn't born.

He had sporadic appearances in season 2, in Barry's vision and when Barry traveled back to the past. It's unknown how the show will bring him back this time.

"The Flash" returns with the remainder of season 3 on Tuesday, January 24 at 8 P.M. ET.
