The first official look at "Marvel's The Defenders" is here. Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Finn Jones' Danny Rand/Iron Fist gather in one of the photos released via Entertainment Weekly. The four vigilantes also grace the cover of the magazine's latest issue.

There's also a look at Sigourney Weaver as the villain, Alexandra, who is described as an "utter badass." Showrunner Marco Ramirez further reveals, "Her character is a very powerful force in New York City. She's everything Sigourney is: sophisticated, intellectual, dangerous."
Another picture shows Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing with Danny Rand, who both look befuddled.
Meanwhile, Jessica Jones is featured with Simone Missick's Misty Knight in what looks like an interrogation room.
Luke Cage is seen being escorted by police officers in a prison in another shot.
In the upcoming Netflix series, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will join forces to face a common enemy. "Every one of them is following their own trail of bread crumbs, trying to unpack a mystery in New York," Ramirez teases what will happen when the heroes unite. "We wanted them all caught off guard. Once they're in that room together, it's kind of like, 'Oh, s**t, who are you?' "
Jones talks about his character's role on the show. "So Danny Rand is the one who really knows what's going on. He knows how serious the situation is," he claims, "Danny Rand, he's the one that kind of drives the group to get s**t done."

The new series is set to be released sometime in 2017.
