The Canadian actor makes a promise to his Twitter followers 'if by chance' the last spring blockbuster is nominated for an Academy Award or two.

Ryan Reynolds has made a hilarious promise "if by chance" "Deadpool" enters Oscar race. The Canadian actor jokingly submitted his box office hit for "considerbation" by listing out some accolades from Golden Girls among others earlier last year, but now it seems like it has a chance of landing a nomination or two.
"If by chance this happens, prepare for the world's most ridiculous reaction video," Reynolds wrote on Twitter on Thursday, January 5. The 40-year-old actor added a link to a report from the Washington Post titled "Could the foul-mouthed, irreverent 'Deadpool' actually be nominated for an Oscar?"

Fans who were intrigued by his tweet quickly responded by writing in the reply section. One Twitter user wrote, "I wanna hear the acceptance speech uncensored." One excited fan said, "You've made me want it to happen even more now!" while another suggested, "I think we need naked Ryan Reynolds. I will shout Jesus when i see that!"

Reynolds' tweet came after "Deadpool" was announced this week as one of the nominees vying for Best Adapted Screenplay at the upcoming Writers Guild Awards. It remains to be seen if the last spring blockbuster might actually get a nod when the Oscar nominations are announced on January 24.
