Liam Hemsworth joined Miley Cyrus and her family for an early Christmas celebration as seen in an image recently shared by Brandi Cyrus. The photo, however, shows "The Hunger Games" actor looking awkwardly disconnected from his fiancee and the rest of her family. The awkwardness is seen through Liam's stiff pose and weird smile.

"Liam is detached here. There is too much distance between him and Miley and that's not a good sign," body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass told HollywoodLife.com. "Liam's got a very ambivalent smile, meaning he's trying to smile. The fact that there are two people between him and Miley is very disturbing. He's totally not connected to her family and has literally turned his back on them," she added.

Liam and Miley rekindled their romance earlier this year and the singer has been wearing her Neil Lane engagement ring since January. "This is really weird because this is like real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy and they don't look that good together because they kind of mix up. And I'm like, 'This isn't really my aesthetic, but I'll wear it because you love me,' " she told Ellen DeGeneres.

The two made their first official red carpet appearance in October at Variety's 2016 Power of Women luncheon in Beverly Hills. It marks the first time the couple has been photographed together since the "Paranoia" premiere in August 2013.
