Rihanna's album "Anti" was snubbed for the category of Album of the Year at the 59th Grammy Awards. After the nominations were announced on Tuesday, December 6, the "Umbrella" hitmaker expressed her disappointment by liking an Instagram post shared by her fan who accused the Grammys of ignoring her album so that Beyonce Knowles could have more nominations.

"Congrats and all to @badgalriri and all for her 8 Grammy nods but tbh f**k them because they snubbed her for Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Like how my ni**a!? I think they didn't want her tied or passing someone else *cough cough* [lemon emoji]," wrote the fan. Obviously, the lemon emoji is about Queen Bey's "Lemonade" which is nominated for Album of the Year.

The pissed fan added, "Cause if they wouldn't have played her she would have been in the lead with most Grammy nods. F**k u Grammys, ANTI did amazing things this year and y'all played her. I think y'all shook!"

Other fans also reacted to the snub. A Twitter user wrote, "The Grammys didn't want Rihanna to have as many noms as Bey so they didn't give her AOTY...that's what I was told at the bus stop earlier," while another user tweeted, "Love it or hate it, ANTI is Rihanna's best album to date and one of the best albums of the year. It deserved at least an AOTY nomination."

Even though Rihanna isn't nominated for Album of the Year, the 28-year-old songstress still snags eight nominations. She is up for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Work" featuring Drake, Best R&B Performance for "Needed Me", Best R&B Song for "Kiss It Better", Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Recording Package for "Anti", and Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance for being featured on Kanye West's "Famous".

This year's Grammy Awards will be hosted by James Corden and will take place on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at 8 P.M. ET.
