Prince's new greatest hits collection "4Ever" has been released. The 40-track album features the singer's first posthumous song "Moonbeam Levels", which was recorded in 1982 during the sessions for "1999" and was subsequently considered for the unreleased 1989 album "Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic".

In "Moonbeam Levels", Prince sings, "Maybe he's lookin' for a different world/ Maybe he's lookin' for a brand new high/ Maybe he would like a nice condo overlookin' the rings of Saturn/ Maybe he wants affection instead of a plastic life/ Maybe he doesn't know what he wants at all/ He says please send all your moonbeam levels to me/ Please send all your moonbeam levels to me/ Please send all your moonbeam levels to me/ I'm lookin' for a better place to die."

"4Ever" marks Prince's first record released since his death back in April. The two-disc set features recordings from all of his albums between 1978's "For You" and 1993's "The Hits/The B-Sides", including hits like "Kiss", "Little Red Corvette" and "Purple Rain". The album contains a booklet of never-before-seen photos of the late singer taken by acclaimed photographer Herb Ritts.

There will be a deluxe reissue of "Purple Rain" which will include a second album of previously unreleased material to be released in early 2017.
