Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry started campaign trails for Hillary Clinton as the presidential election was coming closer. While Miley went to George Mason University in Virginia, Katy headed to University of Nevada in Las Vegas.

Wearing a "Nasty Woman" T-shirt and black skirt, the "Rise" singer knocked on the doors of the dorm at the UNLV. She took selfies with students while holding a "Love Trumps Hate" sign and chatted them up to drum up votes for the Democratic candidate.

Miley, meanwhile, got patriotic with her outfit. She wore an American Flag-inspired outfit, rocking a red-and-white striped skirt and a giant blue bow for a crop top that she paired with a fur jacket, a hot-pink feathered headband and sky-high platform shoes.

"The Voice" judge went door to door at GMU's Piedmont Hall. A large group of students crowded the dorm as she chatted, took selfies and goofed around with the young voters. Those who didn't live at the dorm waited for the star outside the building.

Miley shared pictures from her visit on Instagram. "Talking to bad a$$ students at VA GMU! @hillaryclinton #imwithher," so she captioned. "Campaigned for @hillaryclinton today in GMU in VA encouraging young people to volunteer and vote!!!!"
