Dacre Montgomery, who plays the Red Ranger in upcoming 'Power Rangers' movie, and 'American Odyssey' star Sadie Sink are added as series regulars for the sophomore season of the Netflix series.

AceShowbiz - "Stranger Things" has added two actors to its cast ensemble for season 2. The Netflix series has tapped Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink as new series regulars that will join the returning cast members, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton and Matthew Modine.

Montgomery, who takes on the role of Jason the Red Ranger in the upcoming "Power Rangers" reboot, will play Billy, "Max's hyper-confident, and edgy older step-brother. He steals girlfriends away from their boyfriends, is great at drinking games, and drives a black Camaro. But lurking under his apparent charisma, is a violent and unpredictable nature."

As for Sink who was a series regular on NBC's "American Odyssey" and had a guest spot on "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", she will play Max, "a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era. She has a complicated history and is generally suspicious of those around her."

Besides adding those two actors, "Stranger Things" has promoted Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) to series regulars for season 2.

It was previously reported that there would be three new faces in the second season, Max, Roman and Billy. Roman, who is yet to be cast, is described as a male or a female of any ethnicity between the ages of 30 and 38.

"Stranger Things" season 2 picks up nearly a year after the events in the first season finale, in the fall of 1984. "When terrifying supernatural forces once again begin to affect Hawkins, they realize Will's disappearance was only the beginning. And so the adventure continues ...," reads an official season two logline.
