Chris Pine has debunked rumor that he will be playing multiple roles in "Wonder Woman". During an interview with The Huffington Post, Pine confirmed that he wouldn't portray both the WW I Steve Trevor and his grandson, the present day version of Steve Trevor in the upcoming DC movie.

"No," he stated. Pine continued by sharing what excited him the most while filming the superhero flick. "It was fun to fall in love with Gal Gadot," he revealed. "It was fun to do some comedy. It was fun to do some action. The part kind of asked for a little bit of all of it, so it was a good time."

The 36-year-old actor went on to explain what fans could expect from the Patty Jenkins-directed movie. "I think what's really fun and exciting about it ... different about it, actually, is that there's a nice love story at the center of an action film," he said. "And I don't think you see that often in these kinds of films."

Gadot portrays Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman in the film which is coming to U.S. theaters on June 2, 2017. The Amazonian princess leaves her island home to explore the world and, in doing so, becomes one of the world's greatest heroes.

Written by Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg, the action movie also stars Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Lucy Davis and Danny Huston.
