AceShowbiz - Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and their bandmates announce a new studio album titled "Blue & Lonesome" due on December 2. It will become The Rolling Stones' first ever album in more than a decade. Their last one called "A Bigger Bang" was released back in 2005.
The album will take the band "back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones." The rockers cover classic songs by blues artists like Little Walter, Magic Sam, Little Johnny Taylor and Willie Dixon.
The 12-track CD was recorded in just three days last December at British Grove Studios in West London. "This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do," said co-producer Don Was.
