A recent report claimed that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx couldn't make their relationship public due to her divorce contract with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Now, the actress is reportedly getting ready to marry her rumored boyfriend after he managed to get her out of the bizarre contract.
OK! said Foxx personally asked Cruise to approve his relationship with Holmes. "He called Tom and told him that he loved Katie, and that he thought being in a stable family would be best for Suri too," the tabloid's source said.
Cruise didn't like the idea at first, but eventually gave the couple his blessing. "Tom, despite initial reservations, agreed not to stand in the couple's way," the source continued. "After the man-to-man conversation, even Tom could see how serious Jamie and Katie are."
Foxx and Holmes's wedding will reportedly take place in November, and they want their big day to be "a fun, lighthearted event, with no stuffiness or formality." The source added, "They want it to be a party! When Katie married Tom, she barely had say in anything... This ceremony will be a real reflection of her taste and creativity."
That sounds like a fun wedding, but Gossip Cop can confirm that it's not going to happen. The site, which also shot down reports of Holmes and Cruise's divorce contract, has contacted people connected to the actress and Foxx, and asked them about the latest wedding rumor.
A rep for Holmes has said that the OK! claims are "100 percent not true." A rep for Foxx has also denied the tabloid's story, calling it a "complete fabrication" and adding that the actor's "not getting married."
