Tom Hiddleston's plan to make his romance with Taylor Swift "so public" has apparently caused another trouble in their relationship. According to a new Daily Mail report, the 26-year-old songbird began questioning her boyfriend's love for her after he asked her to go with him to the 2016 Emmy Awards later this month.
"Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private," a source told the publication, adding that Hiddleston's request made Swift feel "uncomfortable" and wonder if he's with her "for the right reasons."
"Tom's need for their relationship to be so public so quickly makes her uncomfortable," the source continued. "She tried to be OK with it in the beginning but fears he is in love with the idea of her and not falling in love with her for the right reasons... Taylor is an independent young woman and doesn't feel like she needs a boyfriend to make her complete."
While Swift now wants to keep her love life low-key, she and Hiddleston were very public about their romance after they were photographed this summer kissing and walking hand in hand on a beach near her Rhode Island home.
They spent a lot of time traveling together and packing on the PDA just weeks after she broke up with Calvin Harris, prompting fans to speculate that their relationship was just a publicity stunt. Hiddleston, however, has denied the speculations.
"The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt," he said in an interview a few months ago.
