Lena Dunham Pisses Off People With Old Racist Tweets
Celebrity

The 'Girls' creator/star made racist jokes about an Asian man and an 'African-American rodent' in some tweets posted in 2011 and 2010 respectively.

AceShowbiz - Lena Dunham seems to have angered a lot of people lately. Hot on the heels of the controversy over her comments on Odell Beckham Jr., the "Girls" creator/star faces backlash again thanks to some racist tweets she posted years ago.

One of the tweets, which resurfaced over the weekend, was shared in June 2011. "An uncool thought to have: 'is that guy walking in the dark behind me a rapist? Never mind, he's Asian,' " it read, prompting lots of fans to attack Dunham and tell her to delete her account.

"Wow Lena way to deny Asian men's agency," @McLeemz commented. "Welp, that *is* an uncool though to have. On account of it's racist and all," @jndevereux wrote. "Dude, come on. 1) not everything should be shared and 2) that's gross & racist af," @charjanef agreed.

Another racist tweet was posted back in March 2010. Dunham disgusted many as she said in it, "Just found my 'creativity journal' from 2005. It begins: 'I dreamed I was a prostitute and that I molested a little African American rodent.' "

"She is seriously one of the worse form of humans," @DaynssWorld wrote. "going thru her dreadful posts, honestly she makes me feel sick, and so many ppl find her amazing?? i don't get it." @cleogirl2525 asked, "Why would you share that? is it funny? more importantly 2005 wasn't that long ago. why would you write that down?"

Dunham hasn't said anything about the tweets. Instead, she chose to once again address her sexist remarks about Odell Beckham Jr. On Saturday, September 3, she posted on Instagram a lengthy note in which she also apologized to the NFL star.

"Despite my moments of bravado, I struggle at industry events (and in life) with the sense that I don't rep a certain standard of beauty and so when I show up to the Met Ball surrounded by models and swan-like actresses it's hard not to feel like a sack of flaming garbage," she wrote.

"This felt especially intense with a handsome athlete as my dinner companion and a bunch of women I was sure he'd rather be seated with. But I went ahead and projected these insecurities and made totally narcissistic assumptions about what he was thinking, then presented those assumptions as facts," she added.
