Syfy has found the right actress to play one of the lead roles on "Krypton". Georgina Campbell ("Murdered by My Boyfriend") is tapped to play a key character on the upcoming Superman prequel TV series which is created by "Man of Steel" scribe David S. Goyer.

According to Deadline, Campbell is expected to portray a military cadet named Lyta Zod. She is related to General Zod, who would be Superman's future nemesis, and will have "a clandestine, forbidden romance" with Seg-El, Superman's biological grandfather.

The story is set years before Superman was born. As the House of El was shamed and ostracized, Seg-El brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known.
