Shawn Mendes is teasing his Instagram followers with sneak peeks of his new song "Mercy". The "Treat You Better" hitmaker shares two snippets alongside some promotional photos for his upcoming track off his upcoming "Illuminate" album.

In the first snippet, Shawn is only humming. He goes shirtless while being drenched in the rain. In the second snippet, the 18-year-old singer croons, "You've got a hold of me/ Don't even know your power."

Fans who pre-order "Illuminate" on iTunes can get "Mercy" on August 18. Shawn's second studio album, which also includes "Treat You Better", "Ruin", "Three Empty Words" and "Don't Be a Fool", is due out on September 23.
