Marvel Entertainment has revealed the official key art for "Luke Cage" that will be available at the Marvel Booth at San Diego Comic-Con International that will run July 20-24. The poster designed by artist and Marvel Entertainment chief creative officer Joe Quesada shows the title character flexing his muscles.

"There's always great pressure with superhero posters," Quesada tells TV Insider which first unveiled the poster. "You've got one shot to encapsulate a character with a pose that's provocative and that you hope will someday be iconic."

Of why Mike Colter is perfect to portray the character, Quesada says, "Mike gives Luke a smoldering strength. He's sexy and calming. And the ladies love it."

"Luke Cage" follows the titular character who, after a sabotaged experiment, has super strength and unbreakable skin. He becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City.

The cast also includes Rosario Dawson who reprises her "Daredevil" character Claire Temple, Sonia Braga as Claire's mom Soledad, Alfre Woodard as politician Mariah Dillard, Theo Rossi as career criminal/Luke Cage nemesis Shades, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Frank Whaley as Detective Scarfe.

The third Marvel-Netflix series after "Daredevil" and "Marvel's Jessica Jones" will be released September 30 on Netflix. The new series will be presented at a panel during SDCC on Thursday, July 21 at 5:45 P.M. in Ballroom 20.
