"The Walking Dead" is not returning until fall, but we've now got details of two new characters in season 7. The AMC drama series will reportedly introduce the fresh faces, who don't sound like any characters in the comics, in episode 6.
The first character is Naomi, who is described as "a grandmotherly type who, having lost so many loved ones, is now willing to do whatever it takes not to have to bury any more," according to TVLine. It's suggested that the character's is brought into the show "to counsel Carol about the necessities of the post-apocalyptic world..."
The second character is Jennie who, in contrast to Naomi, is "a sunny-side-up kinda teenager" who is "kind, with a world-weary toughness." Her age could indicate that she's a love interest for Carl.
It was previously reported that season 7 would also introduce comic book characters Ezekiel and Shiva. Ezekiel is a former zookeeper who rules a community called the Kingdom with his pet tiger Shiva.
