Johnny Depp is getting rid of his art collection amid his bitter split with estranged wife Amber Heard. Nine paintings by famed American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, which he's collected over the past 25 years, will be sold June 29-30 at King Street as part of Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art Auctions event.

"Nothing can replace the warmth and immediacy of Basquiat's poetry, or the absolute questions and truths that he delivered," the 53-year-old actor said in a press release. "The beautiful and disturbing music of his paintings, the cacophony of his silence that attacks our senses, will live far beyond our breath."

Depp and Heard are divorcing after a year of marriage. She accused of him of assaulting her during his alleged drug and alcohol binges, which he vehemently denied. She was granted restraining order against Depp but denied any spousal support. As the divorce proceedings are rolling, Deep's lawyer claim Heard is avoiding a deposition.

Johnny Depp is currently touring with his Hollywood Vampires bandmates Alice Cooper and Aerosmith's Joe Perry.
