Movie

Horror master Adam Wingard took his newest project to the new level by presenting a group of campers facing off an evil force hidden in the woods.

AceShowbiz - "V/H/S" helmer Adam Wingard is back with another horror flick which is deemed "one of the scariest movies ever made" by critics. First teaser trailer of "The Woods (2016)" is debuted and set to a creepy cover of The Police's "Every Breath You Take".

It all begins with a group of college students ignoring the faded sign nailed to one of the trees. "No entry after nightfall," it reads. They decide to stay overnight in the dense and empty woods and suffer the consequence of something "evil". The force is unknown but judging from a few glimpses in the teaser, it is quite capable of mutilating the campers.

Wingard himself provided a link to the trailer on Twitter and wrote, "This is my first full on 's**t your pants' horror film." The tag #TheWoodsAreWatching became trending soon after the release of the trailer.

Written by Wingard's longtime collaborator Simon Barrett, the film's plot is barely known. An official synopsis says "it does involve a group of college students on a camping trip who discover they are not alone." Among the stars are James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry, Corbin Reid and Wes Robinson.
