Chance the Rapper Cancels Concert After Hospitalized for Pneumonia

Chancelor Bennett is unable to perform at a scheduled charity concert in New York City following his hospitalization.

AceShowbiz - Chance the Rapper was forced to cancel his show in New York City on Monday night, May 9 due to health issues. The hip-hop star whose real name is Chancelor Bennett pulled the plug on the concert at Terminal 5 which was held to raise money to help feed families in need after he was rushed to hospital.

Mark Ronson, Joey Bada$$ and Anderson .Paak were tapped to fill in for Chance at the fundraiser dubbed "Night For NYC". Joey tweeted, "Looks like I'll be performing at Terminal 5 tonight in NYC covering for my brother @chancetherapper get well bro I got you!" Anderson wrote, "Salute and get well champ." Mark also sent him well wishes, "Thank you @RobinHoodNYC for having me play tonight. @AndersonPaak smashed it. @chancetherapper, please get well soon."

Chance later took to Twitter, "Thank you @joeyBADASS and @AndersonPaak for filling in for me and supporting a great cause. GREAT Men. I got pneumonia but #Chance3 still." He is scheduled to release his new mixtape on May 13.
