AceShowbiz - Instead of receiving gifts, Chris Brown gave his fans a present in the form of new music on his birthday. As promised, the singer shared "Grass Ain't Greener" as the first preview of his upcoming album on Thursday, May 5, the day he turned 27.
On the slow-tempo track, Breezy sings about a girl he initially thought would be better than his ex, but ends up disappointing him. "You used to be the one to talk to on the side/ Waiting for my love to break up/ It's crazy how your ass ain't walk through every night/ Acting like you been a player/ That grass ain't greener on the other side," he croons.
"Grass Ain't Greener" may sound familiar to fans as Brown already debuted it in a series of Instagram posts earlier this year. The song will be included on his eighth studio album that he's revealed is titled "Heartbreak on a Full Moon".
No release date has been set for the record. It serves as a follow-up to "Royalty", which came out back in December and peaked at No. 3 on Billboard 200.
