The hunky actor will play the titular character Gunther, whose attitude pisses off a group of international assassins, in the film directed and written by 'SNL' star Taran Killam.

AceShowbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed on for a new movie titled "Why We're Killing Gunther". The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that the hunky actor is set to star in the action comedy to be written and directed by "Saturday Night Live" star Taran Killam.

Killam, who's making his directorial debut, will also appear in the film alongside his real-life wife Cobie Smulders and his fellow "SNL" cast member Bobby Moynihan. Paul Brittain, Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park and Ryan Gaul are other names already on board the project.

"Why We're Killing Gunther" is expected to start its production in June. Schwarzenegger will reportedly portray the titular character Gunther, "the world's greatest hitman who also happens to be an arrogant show-off."

His attitude pisses off a group of international assassins who then decide to kill him. Their master plan, however, quickly turns into a series of embarrassing encounters as Gunther always appears one step ahead.

Schwarzenegger last starred in "Terminator Genisys" and the zombie drama "Maggie". He will next be seen in "478" and "The Legend of Conan".
