Wes Ball wrote a note on how he felt after the main star of his movie got injured while filming a scene earlier this week.

AceShowbiz - It was Wes Ball's turn to give an update on Dylan O'Brien's latest condition. The director of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" took to Twitter on Saturday, March 19 to explain how the actor's injury would affect the filming.

O'Brien is currently hospitalized for multiple bones fractures as a result of an on-set accident. He reportedly was ran over by a car during a scene shot on Thursday in Vancouver, Canada. Details of the incident had not been released.

"Well, it's been a whirlwind of emotions these past few days. I've been overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness and guilt," Ball said in what looked like a hand-written note posted on Twitter. "But, ultimately I find myself left with just a deep love and respect for Dylan. He is one tough cookie."

He continued, "I'm sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew. It's scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he'll be back up and running to finish our adventure together."

Filming has been postponed while the main star is recovering from his injuries. Author James Dashner was first to tell fans that O'Brien was going to make it amid reports that the 24-year-old actor was severely injured. O'Brien's co-stars such as Dexter Darden and Kaya Scodelario also sent their love for him on social media.
