50 Cent has scored a new variety show with A&E. The rapper will produce and host the show that is expected to feature sketches, standup, reality experiments, music, magic, dance and celebrity guest appearances.

"I grew up watching variety shows and am excited to put my own spin on the format," the hip-hop star said in a statement. "I hope everyone is ready to bring their talent forward. I want to show the world the best of the best."

"50 Cent is the perfect partner to refresh this classic format. He is a true tastemaker across industries and we are excited to see his impressive showcase of talent," added Elaine Frontain Bryant, A&E's head of programming.

The news comes on heels of his bankruptcy filing. He lost in a multi-million lawsuit over a failed headphone deal and in another legal dispute with a woman who sued him for sharing her sex tape online without her permission.

The rapper recently got in troubles for flashing big piles of cash in a series of Instagram pictures. He later explained to court that the bank notes were just prop money used as a ruse to maintain his brand.
