Dr. Luke continues to defend himself against Kesha's, formerly Ke$ha, rape accusation. The producer insisted he never sexually abused the singer while slamming her for thanking Lady GaGa following the latter's performance at the 2016 Academy Awards on Sunday night, February 28.

As previously reported, GaGa delivered an emotional rendition of "Til It Happens to You" and brought out a number of sexual abuse survivors to the stage during the awards event. Earlier in the day, she said on Twitter that she would be thinking of Kesha when singing the song from the documentary about rape on college campuses, "The Hunting Ground".

Later that night, Kesha thanked GaGa as well as Vice President Joe Biden who introduced the Mother Monster. She tweeted, "Thank u @ladygaga and VP @JoeBiden for bringing attention to sexual assault at the oscars. it hit very close to my heart for obvious reasons."

Luke doesn't seem to have any problem with GaGa's appearance, but he definitely had some problem with Kesha's thank-you note. His attorney, Christine Lepera, told TMZ that Kesha had nothing to do with GaGa's performance because she's not even a victim.

"Ms. Sebert [Kesha], who in sworn videotaped testimony from 2011 stated that she had never been sexually abused or drugged by Dr. Luke, is neither a victim nor the appropriate person to be held up as an example for this important issue," said Lepera.

Kesha indeed said that Luke never raped her in a video testimony that recently leaked online. However, her lawyer Mark Geragos has numerous time explained that her statement was only made because she was threatened by Luke and she was too afraid to speak up against him.
