The two divas bond at the Heartview Global Foundation gala in Los Angeles, where Bey takes time to congratulate Mariah on her engagement.

AceShowbiz - It's an epic night as two divas, Beyonce Knowles and Mariah Carey, met at a gala held by the Heartview Global Foundation in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 11. Both singers were on hand to support their mutual friend and business manager Jonathon Schwartz, who founded the organization which raises money to fund heart disease research.
Beyonce and Mariah seemed to get along well as the two posed for a picture together. "Two girls, one cause," so the "We Belong Together" hitmaker wrote along with the photo which she posted on her Instagram page.
They were all smiles in the image. Bey rocked a sleek ivory, caped number and pearl drop earrings, while Mariah looked glamorous in a semi-sheer, lace glittering gown, which she paired with a sparkling cuff.
The mother of twins, of course, didn't forget to wear her massive engagement ring from James Packer. A source said she showed it off to everyone at the event, including Bey who congratulated Mariah on her engagement. "Bey congratulated her on her engagement and Carey was flashing the ring to everyone," said the source.
Another source told E! News that the two singers were seated at separate tables next to each other, but they "spent a lot of time chatting and were seen having a good time together." The source added, "They both seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves. They both took photos with guests as well as with each other."
During the auction, both Bey and Mariah bought portraits of Ray Charles, which sold for $10,000 each, taken by Timothy White. The wife of Jay-Z also bought a six-course chef's dinner for 12 friends for $15,000.
Mariah got engaged to Australian billionaire James in January after he proposed to her with a 35-carat diamond ring. Jay-Z, meanwhile, gave Beyonce an 18-carat diamond when he popped the question back in 2007.
